‘Thе Lоrd is mу shеρhеrd, I shaII nоt bе in want.’ Yоu haνе hеard this νеrsе, but haνе уоu thоught abоut it’s mеaning?

Let’s take a look at Psalm 23:1 today in our devotional.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Psalm 23:1

Some days you feel as though you will never have enough, never get caught up let alone get ahead. Whether it’s money or time, possessions or opportunities, our contentment often seems conditional on having more. Especially when we look around and see what others have, it’s natural to feel as though we don’t have all that they have.

When you’re tempted to compare yourself to someone who seems to be living the life you desire, though, remember one thing. When your desires for your life align with God’s, you’ll never feel envious or jealous. Instead, just the opposite—content, joyful, fulfilled!

Our primary need each day is to know him, grow closer to him, and know his peace. Focused on this truth, following our Good Shepherd, we become content in a way that money cannot buy.
