There is nothing more unique than a child’s bond with their dog. Dogs are not only loving pets, but they are also passionately loyal to their owners and will put their lives in dangеr to protect them if necessary. Every child should have a dog as a pet.
A little but remarkably brave animal this week gave proof of that when she hurt herself defending her 10-year-old owner from a coyote.
Macy, a six-year-old Yorkie mix, lives in Scarborough, Toronto, with her owner Dorothy Kwan and her family.
Recent events took a tragic turn when Macy and the family’s 10-year-old daughter went for a walk and the child came face to face with a wild coyote.
Surprisingly, the small dog offered to defend her owner by battling the coyote.

The horrific footage shows Macy pleading for help while being assaulted by a coyote in the distance.
But in the end, Macy wins the battle: The coyote ultimately runs away, appearing to have been scared off by the smaller dog as a result of Macy’s continuous barking.
One could see their dog putting herself between Dorothy Kwan’s daughter and the coyote, she said. Despite having terrible wounds, she continued to bark, chase the coyote away, and attaсk back.
Macy was able to fend off the coyote, but she was still left with significant injuriеs. According to Dorothy, she had severe chest and leg wounds.
Dorothy was devastated to learn that her beloved pet dog had been hurt while attempting to savе her daughter. Kwan said her heart was bleeding for both their dog, who they’ve had for five years, and her little child. She was a single mother of two, and her children and dog meant the world to her.
When Macy was brought to the veterinary clinic, she received treatment for her wounds, but it cost thousands of dollars.
But when the family launched a GoFundMe campaign to gather money and spread Macy’s motivational story throughout the world, contributors stepped up: the page has nearly $20,000, exceeding its fundraising goal.
